Houston Zoo – owner representative for $35 million expansion of African Forest exhibits to include Gorillas and Red River Hogs.
Houston Ballet Center of Dance – joined the team when the design was $20M over budget and developed a “design-to” budget for each element of the building. Each architect and engineer was given the budget limit for their portion of the work. Steel pricing was extremely volatile during design. Lorrie established contacts within the steel industry to determine the timing of steel purchase that allowed the project to move forward.
Baylor College of Medicine – analyzed current contract documents and recommended changes to achieve 4.5% project savings by eliminating duplication of insurance, unaudited costs and guaranteed bonuses.
George R. Brown Convention Center – partnered with developer, Griffin Partners, to expand and renovate the George R. Brown convention center.
Astrodome Feasibility Study – utilized the lessons of the Compaq Center renovation to develop a strategy for a repurposed facility within the Dome.
Houston World’s Fair Feasibility Study – analyzed land availability and infrastructure costs for a future US bid for a World EXPO.
Multi-family housing – consultant to the City of Houston to complete renovation of 488 units before federal funding expires.
